During this workshop all participants will receive step by step instruction and hands on experience in log inoculation. All tools and materials will be provided. Each participant will inoculate pre cut hardwood logs with Shiitake spawn and learn the role these types of mushrooms (saprotrophs) play in our environment. After the workshop participants will get to take home a couple of logs they inoculated to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Participants will also take home a bag of plug spawn and log inoculation tool & instruction pamphlet.
